What is Deregistration of aircraft?
The DGCA may cancel a Certificate of Registration in following conditions:
- When the conditions of issue of registration has changed
Or - On a request made by the owner or in the case of a leased aircraft a request made by the operator
Or - When any one or more of the following conditions take place
- Aircraft is destroyed
- Permanently withdrawn from use
- The Certificate of Registration has been obtained by misrepresentation or production of fraudulent documents.
- Is missing and search for the aircraft is terminated
- On the demise of the owner/operator.
- Is missing for 60 days or more.
Is it necessary to get Certificate of Airworthiness of Aircraft?
Yes. All aircrafts are required to have Certificate of Airworthiness before start of operation
What are the requirements for issue of Certificate of Airworthiness?
Following documents have to be submitted:
- Letter of request from owner/ operator
- Duly completed application
- Receipt of application fee
- Type certificate of a/c
- Maintenance history of a/c
- List of major modification
- Weight & balance report
- Test flight report
- Copy of radio license
- Copy of insurance certificate
- Other documents for Registration of a/c
Who validate the certificate of Airworthiness?
A qualified Airworthiness Inspector of CAASL validates the Certificate of Airworthiness.
