Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) ensures through strategic planning, professional guidance and stringent surveillance under well establish regulatory framework, the operational of safe secure efficient regular and environment friendly national civil aviation system that conforms to the national legislative requirement and the International Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka is looking for energetic enthusiastic and self-motivated personnel who has sound qualification and extensive experience in the field of civil aviation to fill its vacancies in the following posts.

Director (Quality and Internal Audit)

Remuneration Provided (Salary Scale (HM1-1)- Rs. 140,640 – 15 x 4,100 -202,140 – as per the MS Circular 01/2025 – fully implemented w.e.f 01.01.2027)

• All Inclusive monthly remuneration of approximately Rs. 251,319.00. (including the transport allowance of Rs.50,000.00, if use own vehicle)

• Fuel Allowance to the value of 115 litres per month (at the fuel price at the time)

• Other Benefits approved by the CAASL

Qualification and Experience

External Candidate

Option 01
1. A Bachelor’s Degree of not less than (03) three years duration, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka in the field of Accountancy, Commerce, Management or Administration;
WITH
2. A Postgraduate Degree qualification (Masters’) in the field of Accountancy, Commerce, Financial Management, or Associate Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute in the related field;
AND
3. Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in in the field of Auditing or Financial Management at Managerial Level in a Corporation, Statutory Board/Institution/Government Owned Company or a reputed Private Institution.

 

Internal Candidate

Option 01

Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates mentioned.

Option 02

1. Completion of Minimum of five (05) years’ satisfactory service in a post in the Manager Category (MM 1-1) Grade I in the field of Auditing or Financial Management;

AND

2. Unblemished track record for the preceding five (05) years and having earned all the increments in the current post;

AND

3. ‘Good’ or above grading in the Annual Performance Appraisals for the last five (05) years.

 

Director (Environment, Research and Projects)

Option 01

1. A Bachelor’s Degree of not less than (03) three years duration in the field of Research, Development Planning, Science, Management, Commerce or Arts which is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka. However, priority should be given to candidates who are holding bachelor’s Degree in the field of Research and Development Planning;

AND

2. A Postgraduate Degree qualification (Masters’) or Associate Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute ;
AND

3. Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Research and Development Planning at Managerial level in a Corporation, Statutory Board/ Institution/Government owned company or a reputed private institution.

Option 2

1. Post graduate degree qualification (Masters in the field of Research and Development Planning) or full Membership of a recognized Professional Chartered Institute relating to Research and Development Planning ;

AND

2. Minimum of thirteen (13) years’ experience in the field of Research and Development Planning at Managerial level in a Corporation, Statutory Board/Institution/Government Owned Company, or a reputed Private Institution.

Internal Candidate

Option 01

Having obtained the qualification required by the external candidates mentioned.

Option 02

1. Completion of Minimum of five (05) years’ satisfactory service in a post of Manager category (MM1-1) grade I in the field of Research and Development Planning ;

AND

2. Unblemished track record for the preceding five years and having earned all the increments in the current post;
AND

Civil Aviation Inspector (Aircraft Flight Operations)

Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating and Frozen Air Transport Pilot License endorsement;

AND

Flight Instructor Rating with not less than 500 hours of instructions or having a total flying experience of not less than 1000 hours.

A Bachelor of Science Degree of not less than three (03) years from a university recognized by University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka having studied in Physical Science, Transport, Aerospace, Information Technology or Engineering Stream with one (01) year Executive Experience or a Post Graduate Diploma in the fields above from an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

Option 02

Air Traffic Controller holding Radar Rating with not less than ten (10) years working experience as Radar Air Traffic Controller.

 

Assistant Manager (Human resources Management)

Qualification and Experience

External Candidate

Option 01

A Bachelor’s Degree of not less than three (03) years, in the field of Management, Administration, and Commerce from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka with one (01) year Executive Experience or a Post Graduate Diploma in the relevant field from an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

Option 02

Having obtained a certificate of proficiency in the subject area relevant to the post which is not below than the National Vocational Qualification Level 7 determined by Technical /Vocational Training Institute accepted by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission with one (01) year Executive Experience or a Post Graduate Diploma in the relevant field from an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

Having met with the qualifications of the External candidate mentioned.

Option 02

Employee who has completed minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service, in the Grade II of the post of Civil Aviation Assistant/Officer in the CAASL will be eligible to apply.

 

 Age Limits
