The Royal Thailand Ambassador in Sri Lanka, recently gifted a consignment of chemical protective clothing (CPC) to the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority for use by the civil aviation community who conduct preventive measures against the chemical hazards, commonly known as the last line of defense for chemical safety.
The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAASL), P A Jayakantha receiving the gift noted that “This goodwill gesture brings more closer relationship enjoyed between Thailand and Sri Lanka, besides the formal diplomatic connections and several bilateral agreements and diversified arrangements”. He welcomed and acknowledged the Thailand Ambassador POJ Harpnpol, accompanied by senior officials of Thailand embassy, personally visiting the CAASL Head Office at Katunayake to present the gift of chemical protective clothing (CPC).
The Ambassador, handing over the consignment to the senior management officials at CAASL spoke about the cultural and economic connections between both two countries for more than a century and touched on strengthening decades old bonds on TERAWADHA BUDU DAHAMA. The Ambassador, POJ Harpnpol placed his signature on the eminent visitors Golden Book by invitation of Upul Dharmadasa, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority.
