All instructors conducting Training Programmes shall receive prior approval from the Director General of Civil Aviation. Refer Implementing Standards (IS) 090 - Requirements for Approval of Instructors and Training Programmes.

a) Ground school/Line Training/Flight Training/Simulator Training Instructor Approvals

Request letter must be submitted by the operator.

b) Dangerous Goods Instructor Approvals

Request letter must be submitted by the operator along with the qualification, experience and training of the nominee.

c) Ground Handling Instructor Approvals

Request letter must be submitted by the operator along with the qualification, experience and training of the nominee.

d) Cabin Safety / First Aid Instructor Approvals

The operator shall recommend and forward the JD of the candidate after assessing the individuals’ knowledge, capabilities & the competency together with documentary evidence. . CAASL shall evaluate and observe the candidate to determine that he/she is a subject matter expert who is capable of executing the responsibilities prior to granting the approval. Once approved The Instructor shall be evaluated every year by Cabin Safety Inspectors.

e) Crew Resource Management (CRM) Instructor Approvals

Request letter must be submitted by the operator.
