Performance of Sri Lanka at the ICAO Audit - 2010
Under its Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme, the International Civil Aviation Organization conducted an onsite comprehensive system audit in 2010 to ascertain the degree of compliance of Sri Lanka in fulfilling the of the State's obligations under the Convention on International Civil Aviation for the effective discharge of safety oversight. The Audit focused attention of eight Audit Areas viz, Legal Framework, Organizational arrangements, Training and Licensing of Personnel , Aircraft Operations, Airworthiness, Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigations, Air Traffic Services and Aerodromes. During this Audit, ICAO examined the capacity of the State to perform the Safety Oversight functions, under eight Critical Areas viz.
